Movie Verdict

The villagers, the core characters of Babli Bouncer’s opening act, are immediately intriguing. During a few humorous parts in the first half of the film, we will laugh aloud and forget the passage of time. However, the film’s length is a detriment because multiple lengthy scenes are required to create the atmosphere and introduce us to the characters. There are some optimistic moments in the second part of the film, as well as an intriguing plot involving a female club bouncer. Unfortunately, the drama and longer parts lead the film’s quality to plummet around the midway point. The film’s finale leaves us feeling reflective and affected.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s portrayal of Babli was superb. While the actor occasionally comes across as forced, she actually excels in the most moving parts as well as a few others. She even managed to properly replicate the character’s speech pace with the dialect she employed. Saurabh Shukla plays the character beautifully and naturally in every scene. While Shahil Vaid did an excellent job as Kukku, there was little amusement to be seen. While Karan Singh does admirably in a few situations, he still has a long way to go before he can be taken seriously as Mannu. Each new actor was up to the task and added dimension to the story in their own unique way.

The Babli Bouncer was shot and edited with care. Tanishk Bagchi and Karan Malhotra’s music and songs are adequate. Himman Dhamija did a fantastic job with the color grading, and the mood of the town is wonderful. Because running time can influence how viewers react, tighter editing may have improved the film. The production qualities are great, which is appropriate given the subject matter.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar, known for his distinct storytelling and character characterization, left his imprint on this film. However, a couple of over-the-top and drawn-out scenes make you wonder if Madhur Bhandarkar was truly in charge of this film.

Overall, due to its excellent director and impressive ensemble cast, Babli Bouncer is an entertaining trip for a female bouncer. For anyone interested in watching, Hotstar is presently broadcasting this breathtaking drama.
